About our practice

How SmartInfra AI Digital approaches manufacturing cost-control audits and financial review of plant cost applications in Malaysia.

Why we exist

Manufacturing cost numbers only help when they describe the floor. We started this practice after watching plant teams argue about variances that originated in outdated bills of materials, mis-mapped scrap codes, or analytics views that skipped rework. Our work sits between plant operations and financial reporting — not as another layer of jargon, but as careful observation and evidence.

How we work

We prefer to see the cell before we open the spreadsheet. Engagements begin with a scoping letter that names plants, cost centres, applications, and periods. Field days follow your safety rules. Findings are written in plain language with enough technical detail for cost accountants and enough clarity for plant managers.

Malaysia footing

Our office is at Level 6, 83 Persiaran Barat, Petaling Jaya, Selangor 46200. Much of our fieldwork happens in the Klang Valley and neighbouring industrial corridors, though we travel to other Malaysian sites when the engagement warrants it. Desk analysis and reporting are coordinated from Petaling Jaya.

Values that show up in the report

  • Floor first — claims about cost must survive a walk of the line.
  • Named evidence — findings cite cost centres, documents, and screens, not vague themes.
  • Clear ownership — we separate process issues from application configuration issues.
  • No theatre — we do not dress an audit as a product launch or a transformation programme.

People

Engagements are staffed by practitioners with backgrounds in manufacturing cost accounting and plant finance support. When a specialist skill is needed (for example, a particular industry’s process costing), we say so in the proposal rather than overstating coverage.
